People seek therapy for many reasons, but if you’re feeling stuck—knowing you want change but unsure how to achieve it—therapy can help. If you're looking for new perspectives, coping skills, and a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy is a great way to get “unstuck.”

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I am fully transparent about pricing and committed to making therapy accessible. I offer sliding scale rates and flexible payment options, so please reach out to discuss what works best for you. My priority is ensuring that financial concerns don’t prevent you from receiving care. If I’m not the right fit or can’t offer a plan that works for you, I’m happy to refer you to other resources that may better meet your needs.
-
Our first session is about building trust and getting to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to work on. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, so expect an open, judgment-free conversation. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs, and together, we’ll begin outlining your path forward. My hope is that you leave feeling clear about what comes next and confident in your decision to start therapy.

Therapy is a personal journey, and it’s important that you feel heard, understood, and supported. The most important factor in effective therapy is the therapeutic relationship—you should feel that your therapist understands you, likes you, and that you can trust them. If, after our first session (or even after a few), you feel I’m not the right therapist for you, I will work with you to find someone who is. Your mental health and comfort are my priority, and I will always do my best to guide you in the right direction.

Individual counseling is private, one-on-one therapy tailored to your personal growth and healing. Peer support groups are structured spaces where individuals with shared experiences come together to learn, connect, and support one another.
-
No, peer support groups are not traditional therapy. These groups are designed as supportive, educational spaces led by a trained mental health professional. They help participants build confidence, practice vulnerability, and develop social support networks. Groups are a great way to reinforce therapeutic skills in real time at a lower cost than individual therapy. At Magus, we believe in the power of community and the impact of shared healing.

I recognize that every person is shaped by a unique combination of identities that influence how they experience the world. Whether it’s gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, or other aspects of your identity, I am committed to seeing you as a whole person. My approach to therapy acknowledges how these intersecting identities impact mental health and well-being. At Magus, I strive to create an inclusive space where marginalized and oppressed identities—including queer individuals, people of color, women, and those with disabilities—are seen, respected, and valued.
-
I believe therapy is inherently connected to the world around us. Cultural, political, and social environments shape who we are, which is why I stay engaged with current events—from political issues to social movements—to better understand and support my clients. I believe it’s important for therapists to be aware of the broader world and its impact on mental health. If you’re looking for a therapist who recognizes these factors as essential to healing, I encourage you to reach out and see if we’re a good fit.

I understand that life happens, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule. Please notify me at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. If you miss a session without notice, a fee will be charged. I strive to be flexible and work with you to find a time that fits your schedule, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need to make adjustments.

The word Magus—rooted in ancient wisdom—refers to someone dedicated to learning, transformation, and guiding others toward deeper understanding. When I envisioned creating a collective focused on healing, I was drawn to the values of mutual aid, community, shared wisdom, and empowerment. At Magus, the “magic” isn’t just in therapy—it’s in you, in me, and in the collective experiences of joy, pain, growth, and resilience that we all share. My goal is to create a space where we can carry one another’s burdens but, more importantly, celebrate our triumphs. There is courage in finding community, and we need that now more than ever. I hope you find comfort here.
